But eczema is a chronic condition that doesn’t fit neatly into a traditional illness narrative. So how do we tell our stories in a compelling way? In this workshop, writer and storyteller Sarah Harris will discuss how we can apply storytelling techniques to our personal eczema journeys to turn them into powerful tools for awareness and advocacy across all platforms.
Webinar | Focus on the Future: A Look at the Eczema Research and Treatment Landscape

There are dozens of therapies in the pipeline for eczema: therapies with potential to help symptoms such as itch and redness, improve the skin barrier and calm the immune system. Peter Lio, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Dermatology and Pediatrics at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine and the founding director of the Chicago Integrative Eczema Center. His clinical practice is at Medical Dermatology Associates of Chicago.

This session will consist of a short presentation followed by plenty of time to ask our ecz-perts your most pressing questions.

Awareness Walk | 5K Run/Walk in partnership with LEO Pharma
Saturday, Oct. 1, 10 a.m. ET
Join Julie Block, National Eczema Association’s (NEA) President and CEO, on Saturday, Oct. 1, for an Eczema Awareness 5K walk/run at Lewis Morris Park in Morristown, NJ.
Arrive at 9 a.m. for check-in and a light breakfast, then, at 10 a.m., embark on the 5K walk/run on a path that winds around Sunrise Lake. After, all participants are invited to relax and celebrate EAM with lunch, a DJ and swag (while supplies last).
This is your chance to raise eczema awareness and represent the eczema community! You can gather your gang and create custom t-shirts, hats or signs to help dispel eczema myths or to salute your eczema heroes.
This event is also your opportunity to raise funds for NEA! If you’d like to add a fundraising component, you can join Team LEO and ask friends and family to make donations to support NEA’s work – plus, LEO will match all donations up to $10,000!
Registration is closed but you can still donate to the fundraiser for a dollar-for-dollar match!
Awareness Event | Strike Out Eczema at Classic Lanes in Rochester, MI

Calling all bowlers – and non-bowlers!
Join NEA Ambassadors Lynell McKay Doyle, Christy Cox and Claire Rozanski for a fun afternoon of bowling, pizza, drinks and allergy-friendly desserts while you raise eczema awareness, build awareness and meet new friends! This event will happen rain or shine and includes door prizes, raffle and giveaways.
