Kids’ & Teens’ Camp

“It was great to be around kids like me – who didn’t ask me questions about my skin.”

What is Kids’ Camp?

Our Kids’ Camp (age 5-12) and Teens’ Camp (12-17) supports children with eczema by nurturing their self-esteem. This year, for the first time, we will also offer a Day-Care option for children younger than 4 years of age.

Kids’ Camp facilitators, Corporate Kids Events (CKE), are carefully planning a camp full of fun activities, creative projects, exciting outings, and age-appropriate educational sessions.

Kids’ Camp is a safe place for children with eczema. All CKE counselors are certified in CPR and First Aid, fingerprinted and background checked, and take part in an extensive training program.

Who should attend Kids’ Camp?

Children aged 0 to 17 who have eczema
Friends and siblings of children with eczema
Children of adult Expo attendees who need a fun, safe place to go while parents are at Adult Sessions

Why should children attend Kids’ Camp?

Expo’s Kids’ Camp is a safe place for children with eczema. Attendees will be empowered with knowledge, friendship, and fun.

Knowledge is power. Kids’ Camp will include age-appropriate, expert-led educational sessions about skin care and Skin & Emotions. Teens’ Camp will include basic skin care, Skin & Emotions, Beauty & Grooming, and Telling Your Story.

Allergy-friendly eating. Snacks and lunch will be served daily. The menu will be allergy-friendly, with no nuts, seeds, nut- or seed-oils, or seafood. All foods will be labeled with ingredients, with a menu available for parents to view, approve, and/or revise during online registration.

Kids who “get it.” Kids’ Camp is a place that reminds children with eczema that they’re not alone. They’ll meet and have fun with new friends who understand eczema and who don’t ask about their skin.

A clean environment. Staph infections are a very real concern for people with severe eczema. For that reason, our camp space will be carefully cleaned and maintained to prevent the spread of staph infections.

Expo Kids’ Camp is a nurturing, invigorating place for children to make new friends who understand what it’s like to live with eczema while enjoying arts and crafts, playing games, and learning a bit about eczema and skin care.
