Not every flare has a single cause.
When eczema flares, it is natural to search for the one food, product or habit behind it. But conflicting advice and misinformation can lead to fear, unnecessary restrictions and self-blame. Eczema is a chronic inflammatory disease, and while triggers can make symptoms worse, they are not the underlying cause, and not every flare has a trigger you can identify.
This webinar will explain what an eczema trigger is, how triggers differ from the causes of eczema and from allergies, and which common triggers are supported by evidence. You will learn practical ways to recognize patterns and manage likely triggers without avoiding everything that might possibly affect your skin.
Join us Wednesday, November 4, 10 a.m. PT | noon CT | 1 p.m. ET
You will learn:
- The difference between what causes eczema, what triggers a flare and what an allergy is
- Common eczema triggers and why they can vary from person to person or change over time
- How to tell evidence-based information about triggers from common myths
- How to use timing and symptom patterns to investigate possible triggers without reading too much into every coincidence
- Realistic ways to manage likely triggers and when a healthcare provider can help
