EczemaWise

EczemaWise is not your ordinary health tracking app. It was built with the input of eczema researchers to collect information on the real-world eczema experience. By collecting this data, we are filling gaps in what is known about the lived experience of eczema and are working towards improving the care and treatment of eczema patients. The information collected in EczemaWise forms a type of research registry. A research registry collects information about people who have a particular disease and makes it available to researchers. The EczemaWise research registry collects user-generated, health-related data and shares it anonymously and confidentially with scientists studying eczema.

Collectively, the EczemaWise platform has been developed to create an activated patient and facilitate shared decision-making with healthcare providers, using data that is both important to patients and reported by patients. The marriage of shared decision-making with data being collected over time within the platform is a unique opportunity to improve individual health outcomes and generate a new, rich data source for research investigation to inform a broader clinical and scientific understanding of this prevalent skin condition.
