Your experience with eczema can make a difference for others. Help NEA improve the health and quality of life for those affected by eczema by joining NEA Ambassadors.
As a NEA Ambassador, your voice and personal experience is amplified to create meaningful change. NEA connects Ambassadors with various opportunities to share their experience with key decision-makers, including legislators, eczema researchers and scientists, healthcare professionals and the public. Ambassadors act as an extension of NEA as they actively work to influence legislation, medical treatments and access to quality care for eczema.
"As a NEA Ambassador, I've had the opportunity to leave a legacy and turn my eczema journey into something deeply meaningful."
"My experience as a NEA Ambassador has been a catharsis of freedom. We are given a platform to share our stories with those in a position to research and develop treatments."
"Becoming an Ambassador gave me the tools I needed to truly drive change."
The enrollment process takes just 10–15 minutes!
NEA Ambassador Jim H. presented an overview of what it’s like to live with eczema to medical students in Louisiana, including the mental, social and physical aspects of the disease. By sharing their experience, Jim and other NEA Ambassadors are working to educate future doctors on how to better interact with their eczema patients during appointments.

Ambassador Alison P. participated in a symposium, “Perspectives on Itch: Sharing Experiences and Understanding the Burden,” at the American Academy of Dermatology conference, where she shared her eczema experience with dermatologists. Alison shed light on how dermatology providers can better recognize and address itch in their busy medical practices.

Alicia C., Lisa B. and Kathy S. participated in the Coalition of Skin Diseases conference in Washington, D.C. to advocate for eczema. They attended various meetings with legislators where they shared their story and asked for support for bills that advance eczema research and care.

NEA Ambassadors bring eczema education directly into their communities by sharing trusted resources, connecting with healthcare providers and policymakers, and expanding awareness. These efforts reduce stigma and improve understanding, helping increase access to treatment, strengthen patient and provider support, and ultimately improve the eczema community experience.

What is the NEA Ambassadors program?
NEA Ambassadors is a program run by the National Eczema Association (NEA). People with eczema and their caregivers can volunteer to be a NEA Ambassador, acting as an extension of the organization. Ambassadors are empowered to share their experiences and provided with curated opportunities set up by NEA. These opportunities connect Ambassadors with legislators, pharmaceutical companies and eczema researchers. Ambassadors improve the quality of life for the eczema community by influencing decisions that lead to more effective, accessible and personalized eczema care and treatment options.
