Share Your Eczema Photos! Submit to the Eczema Visual Guide

Eczema can present differently on various skin tones and body parts, and it’s vital to have a comprehensive and inclusive visual guide that reflects these differences for proper diagnosis and treatment. That’s why the National Eczema Association created the Eczema Visual Guide, the largest publicly-available repository of images showcasing the various forms of eczema across all skin tones.

How you can help

While healthcare providers may take pictures during clinic visits, eczema patients and caregivers often take real-world pictures of their eczema — including what it looks like today and how it changes. Your real-world photos can significantly contribute to a more accurate and diverse representation of eczema. We are seeking photos from individuals like you who are living with eczema.

By sharing your images with us, you can help healthcare providers and other patients understand all forms of eczema better. Healthcare providers learn through imagery, but most medical textbooks only have a few images of eczema, and these are often eczema as it appears on lighter skin. With a diverse database of images, we can help address health inequities and disparities, including misdiagnosis for people with skin of color. Your images will help create a more inclusive and comprehensive resource for the eczema community.
